Paying in cryptocurrency at BetWest from a pound account
A BetWest account in pounds can pay in and out with cryptocurrency, next to cards, e-wallets and bank transfer. Crypto withdrawals are released by us within three business days after verification and are usually with the player within 24 hours of approval; the network, not us, decides the final minutes. The coins we list are Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Tether (USDT), USD Coin, Solana, TRON, Dogecoin, Cardano and the Binance coin.

Pounds in the account, coins at the cashier
The account currency is chosen with the country at registration, and for UK accounts it is pounds sterling. A cryptocurrency deposit is credited to that pound balance, and a withdrawal request is made from it. The standard minimum deposit is set in the account currency and some methods have a different minimum, so the cashier is the place to read the exact pound figure for a coin.
Charges and offers
Welcome offers are available to newly registered players after the first deposit, and the link on each offer card states its terms. We list no fee of our own on deposits or on withdrawals by these routes. A charge made by a bank, a wallet provider or the network is outside our control.
How a crypto withdrawal runs
What we do and what the network does
Operator time and network time are two separate stages. The first is ours: a request is processed within three business days, Monday to Friday, from the date it was made, provided verification and security checks are passed. The second is the network or the wallet: once we release the payment, it reaches the player’s wallet on the schedule of that network. E-wallet and crypto payouts are usually completed within 24 hours of release, where a bank transfer needs three to five further business days.
Where the money may go
Withdrawals go only to an account in the player’s own name, and a request to somebody else is cancelled. For crypto, that means a wallet you control. If the coin you deposited with does not appear in the Withdrawal tab, that option is not offered for withdrawal: the help centre says not every deposit option is, and support can suggest an alternative payment method.
Verification before the first crypto payout
Deposits and withdrawals may be blocked until verification is complete. We ask for a valid identity document, a proof of residence issued within the last 3 or 6 months, proof of ownership of the payment method and, where required, a transaction history from the last 1 to 3 months. Verification is typically done within 24 to 48 hours once all documents have arrived in full.
Crypto against e-wallet, card and bank transfer
| Route | Options we list | After we release the payment | What can go wrong |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cryptocurrency | Eleven coins, from Bitcoin to the Binance coin | Usually within 24 hours | A wrong wallet address counts as incorrect payment details and the request is cancelled |
| E-wallet | MiFinity, Skrill, Neteller | Moments after it is sent | The wallet account must be in your name |
| Card | Visa, Mastercard | Longer than e-wallets, because the card issuer processes it | The card must be in your name; a payout cannot go to someone else’s card |
| Bank transfer | Bank account in your name | Three to five further business days | Delays in the international banking network are beyond our control |
After release, an e-wallet is the quickest route, crypto follows within a day, and a card or bank transfer depends on the bank. Our own step of up to three business days is the same on every route.
Limits that move with the VIP level
Withdrawal limits are not a single number. They rise with the VIP level, and levels 3 to 5 carry higher daily and monthly limits than levels 1 and 2; the monthly ceiling at level 5 is higher than at level 1. A request above your limit is one of the three first checks that our help centre lists for a request that will not go through, and the pound limit for your own level is shown in the account.
Transaction statuses and what to do
| Status | Trigger | Where you see it | Next step |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pending | A request has been made and we have not yet processed it, up to three business days | Withdrawal tab; Balance History | Cancel it there if you change your mind |
| Cancelled | Incorrect payment details, technical maintenance or a provider change | Email from the Finance Department | Read the reason, correct the wallet details and ask again |
| Released but not received | The network or wallet is still confirming; crypto payouts normally arrive within 24 hours of release | Your wallet and the network record | After 24 hours, send support the transaction ID, coin and amount |
| Deposit not credited | Deposits are credited almost instantly; allow up to two hours | Balance History | After two hours, write to support with the details below |
A cancelled withdrawal comes with the Finance Department email, so check the spam folder before writing to support.
When to write to support
For a missing deposit, give support the coin and network used, the date and amount, any error message, whether the funds have left your wallet, and a screenshot of the transaction from the provider showing your name, the account number and the transaction details. Write to [email protected] or open live chat, which is open 24/7.
