Rules for holding a BetWest account in pounds
These terms set out how a BetWest account in pounds sterling is opened, funded, used and closed. The general Terms and Conditions published on our site prevail: where this document and the general Terms differ, the general Terms apply. We update this document when the general Terms change.
1. Who may hold an account
1.1 Age
BetWest accepts only customers over 18. Registration by a person under 18 is prohibited, and the winnings of an underage player are cancelled.
1.2 One account
Each person may hold one account. Any further account created by the same person is a duplicate and is closed.
1.3 Country and currency
An account cannot be opened if the applicant’s country is on the list of countries in the general Terms. The currency available depends on the jurisdiction, and it is chosen together with the country at registration.
1.4 Details at registration
Registration needs a country, a currency, an email address and a password, and the acceptance of these terms. Where the form offers a choice of welcome bonus, the choice is made at this step.
2. Verification
2.1 Documents we may request
We may request a valid identity document that is legible and not expired, a proof of residence issued within the last 3 or 6 months depending on the account review, proof of ownership of the payment methods, and a transaction history that usually covers the last 1 to 3 months. The list is not exhaustive.
2.2 Restrictions until verification is complete
Deposits and withdrawals may be blocked until verification is complete. A pop-up on the site announces this.
2.3 Time and rejection
Once all requested documents are received in full, verification is typically completed within 24 to 48 hours. Documents may be rejected when they are too old, modified, expired, of poor image quality, damaged or incomplete, or scanned or screenshot copies.
3. Deposits: crediting and missing payments
3.1 Crediting
Deposits are credited almost instantly. A member should allow up to two hours before asking us about a missing deposit.
3.2 Reporting a missing deposit
To trace a missing deposit, a member gives us the payment method, the date and amount, any error message, whether the money was taken from the source account and a screenshot of the transaction from the payment provider with the name, account number and transaction details visible.
4. Withdrawals: processing, own name and cancellation
4.1 Request and processing
A withdrawal is requested in the cashier, on the Withdrawal tab. It is processed within three business days, Monday to Friday, of the date it was requested, once verification and security checks are passed.
4.2 Own name
A withdrawal may be requested only to an account in the member’s own name. A request to another person’s account is cancelled and a new request must be made to an account in the member’s name.
4.3 Wagering and balances
A withdrawal request may be refused when a wagering requirement is incomplete, when the funds are in the bonus balance and not in the cash balance, or when the withdrawal limit has been reached. Withdrawal limits rise with the VIP level.
4.4 Cancellation
A member can cancel a withdrawal while it is pending, from the Withdrawal tab or from Balance History. We may cancel a withdrawal for incorrect payment details, for technical maintenance or because the payment provider changed something on its side, and we email the reason from the Finance Department.
4.5 After payout
After a payout is released, the time to arrive depends on the method. A bank transfer needs three to five further business days.
4.6 Methods not available for withdrawal
Not every deposit option is also a withdrawal option. When the method used for a deposit is missing from the Withdrawal tab, the member contacts support, who may suggest an alternative payment method.
5. Bonuses: claiming, wagering and game contribution
5.1 Claiming
A welcome offer is available to a newly registered member after the first deposit. After a qualifying deposit a notification says that a bonus has been claimed, and the member presses Activate, or activates it from the profile. If the bonus does not appear, the member contacts support before playing so that it can be credited.
5.2 Wagering
A bonus carries a wagering requirement, shown as a percentage in the active bonuses section of the profile. The welcome package is wagered 35x on deposit plus bonus and its free spin winnings 40x, within ten days.
5.3 Game contribution
Most games contribute to the requirement, and some contribute more than others. The conditions of each offer are reached through the link on its promotion card.
6. Account changes and closing
6.1 Details
A member can change only the PIN from the profile. Other details are changed through support, with the correct information and the reason for the change.
6.2 Access
A forgotten password is recovered with the Forgot your password link. The login is case-sensitive.
6.3 Closing and reopening
An account is deactivated or closed through live chat or email, and it can be reopened the same way. A member may ask for a break at any time.
7. Complaints
7.1 How to complain
A formal complaint is made by email to our support team, at [email protected], and the responsible department reviews it.
7.2 Procedure
The complaints procedure is part of the general Terms and Conditions.
8. Fair play
8.1 Random results
The random number generators used in casino games are assessed and approved by independent third parties.
8.2 Return to Player
Return to Player is the percentage of wagered money paid back over time from slots, calculated over millions of sessions. It does not predict the result of a single session.
8.3 Interrupted live rounds
If the connection is lost in a live casino game, the member’s bets stand and the round continues. A blackjack hand that cannot be played is classed as stand.
9. Responsible play
9.1 Breaks and exclusion
A member who wants a break from gambling writes to our support team, and we close the account as soon as practicable. The member must tell us of any other account; the final responsibility for accounts held elsewhere remains the member’s.
9.2 Independent help
Independent support is available from GamCare, Gamblers Anonymous and Gambling Therapy. The National Gambling Helpline of GambleAware is 0808 8020 133.
